About PNWK
Who we are
PNWK Records was founded in 2023 by Robert and Sam Bowling.
We started the label out of our family home in the eastside of Seattle's puget sound inside a 1970's split-level which would become a place to crash for the fastest rising midwest emo and punk bands touring the country.
Our approach
Instead of DIY, we’re DIT—doing it together.
We help alleviate any headwinds and blockers our bands face so that they can focus their time and energy on the stuff that matters most: the art. That includes recording costs, publicity, distribution, marketing, playlisting, booking, and tour support with van repairs, rentals, or an emergency hotel room when you're stranded on Christmas Eve because you filled in on a show three hours away as a homie hookup so that you could ask their bassist to fill in on your next festival gig. We're there... for it all.
We focus on artist development
Bands don’t “owe us” anything. That means our investment in their music does not require repayment.
Bands have full autonomy and ownership of their music (aka they own their masters).
We are 100% transparent. Every band receives the same contract, if a new band negotiates a better contract, it’s retroactively offered to all previous bands.
Our A&R strategy is simple. Listen to every band introduced to us, if we fall in love and put it on repeat then find a way to help them out. The rest just falls into place naturally.
