Amazing Transparent Man is a pop punk band from DeKalb, Illinois who spent seven years carving out a devoted following in the late '90s and early 2000s Chicago-area scene. Founded in 1997 on the Springman Records label, original members Rick Muermann, Tony D'Amato, Brad Riverdahl, and Casey Sons built their reputation on catchy songwriting, sharp humor, and an unmistakable stage presence. The band eventually evolved into a trio with Rick and Tony sharing bass and guitar duties alongside drummer Chris Johnson. ATM toured relentlessly cross-country, earned a stint on the Vans Warped Tour, and released four full-length albums and an EP of covers that became something of a cult artifact. Their The Measure of All Things release show at the Cabaret Metro became local legend — the band served milk and cookies to every person in attendance. Twenty years later, Amazing Transparent Man are back, with PNWK Records proud to support their reunion.
